the energy-movement i practice:

Everything is made up of energy – our bodies, our minds, everything we see, even the device you are reading this from!  Often, energy that we’ve experienced from life occurrences gets trapped in our bodies.  As a result, we hold onto certain thoughts, feelings, judgments, stories, or even physical sensations from the past that prevent us from moving forward in our lives.

Energywork moves the energy we’ve stored from the past — that’s why I like to call it Energy-Movement.

Keri’s foundational practice is Access Bars™, a technique that comes from a philosophy called Access Consciousness™.  This technique allows you to function on a new level of consciousness and can transform every area of your life.

Access Bars™ is a non-invasive body process that consists of gently touching 32 points on the head. When a Bars Practitioner "runs your Bars", they dispel the heavy energetic charge related to any judgments and limiting points of view. It has been said that the technique is like deleting files off your computer’s hard-drive, so that more space is available to create something new. Here’s a map of the 32 bars:

ABOUT Trauma-Focused cognitive behavioral THERAPY (TF-CBT)

and Somatic-Based Psychology

Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence based modality for those impacted by trauma. It is a structured, short-term treatment model that improves experiences of post traumatic stress (aka PTSD), depression, anxiety and overall mental health.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) treats problems and boosts happiness by modifying emotions, behaviors, and thoughts that are disempowering. Unlike traditional psychoanalysis, CBT challenges distorted thoughts and alters destructive behavior patterns so that you can have a more peaceful mind and a more satisfying life.

Somatic Psychology is is a form of therapy that focuses on a body or somatic experience and the embodied self. Somatic psychology is a framework that seeks to bridge the mind-body-spirit connection. Keri incorporates a body-oriented approach in her sessions.

about Self-inquiry:

Self-inquiry (also known as atma vichara) is a practice of self-awareness that by-passes the cognitive mind and allows us to speak from some place else – whether it be the heart, the gut, nothingness, everything, emptiness…whatever you want to call it! Keri facilitates self-inquiry with others through asking questions, engaging in dyads and/or through timed writings. Read more about self-inquiry here or listen to this great recording of Gangaji speaking about the question: Who Are You?

ABOUT conscious dance:

Conscious dance is a spontaneous and free-form type of dance. It is not a dance of looking good, but rather an internal and somatic movement meditation practice for embodied awareness.

There are many types of conscious dance including ecstatic dance, contact improvision and the 5Rhythms™ dance meditation.

Keri has been studying and practicing 5Rhythms™ dance meditation for almost 15 years and is a former 5Rhythms™ Spaceholder for the Big Island. Created by Gabrielle Roth in the 1970s, 5Rhythms is a circular dance journey that involves music and five body rhythms: flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical, and stillness. When danced, the five rhythms form a ‘wave’. Taken from the 5Rhythms website: “5Rhythms is a dynamic movement practice—a practice of being in your body—that ignites creativity, connection, and community. While a seemingly simple process, the 5Rhythms practice facilitates deep and unending explorations, moving the dancer beyond self-imposed limitations and isolation into new depths of creativity and connection.”

ABOUT PAST-LIFE REGRESSION THERAPY:

Past-Life Regression Therapy is accessed and facilitated through the technique of Hypnosis. Hypnosis is simply a state of focused concentration of the mind and increased relaxation of the body. Most of us enter hypnotic states on a regular basis when we are absorbed in a good book or movie or when we find ourselves on 'auto-pilot' -- maybe driving in our car and getting safely to our homes without realizing how we got there.

Similar to meditation, the goal of hypnosis is to access the subconsciousness mind. The subconscious mind functions at a deeper level than our usual levels of awareness. It's the part of our mind that lies underneath the constant bombardment of thoughts, feelings and outside stimuli.

Thus, the subconscious is not limited by our imposed boundaries of logic, space and time. It can remember everything, from any time. It can produce creative solutions to our problems, and find the deeper wisdom that lies inside us all.

Some people feel as though they are observing a movie while being regressed. Others have more vivid and emotional reactions. Some 'feel' things more than they 'see' them. Sometimes people will even hear or smell things.

Past-Life Regression Therapy takes us beyond space and time to access the subconscious and receive guidance for our current life situation.

ABOUT TAROT:

Tarot originally began as a game called "Tarrochi" in the late 14th century and started being used for spiritual guidance in the late 18th century.

Tarot Cards are made up of seventy-eight cards or more. They are made up of 3 different groups -- the Major Arcana, the Minor Arcana and the Court Cards.  The Minor Arcana is made up four different suits: Wands, Pentacles, Swords and Cups. Each suit speaks to a specific attribute of the human experience as well as one of the four elements.

  • Wands – Action and Creativity (Fire)

  • Swords – Thinking and Conceptions (Air)

  • Cups – Emotions (Water)

  • Pentacles – Money & Material Wealth (Earth)

Each card has a specific meaning or energy to it.  The Major Arcana is made up of 22 cards, and each card reveals a very specific experience of human consciousness. You will see cards such as The Fool, The Empress, The Moon, The Tower and others in this suit. Each tarot deck is different, which means that the meaning of the cards can be slightly different as well.

A tarot card reading can give you the answer to anything that your mind is questioning. It can give you a deep, insider’s look at your health, career, family and relationship issues and more. Tarot is useful in showing you the details you may be missing and shows you what the most probable outcome is based on your current experiences.

When used as a life enhancing tool, tarot can help to:

  • Connect you to your deeper knowing

  • Discover your hidden fears & talents

  • Receive messages

  • Clarify your current circumstances

  • Predict the future based on those circumstances

  • Reveal your own (or someone else's) True Nature

A good tarot reader will be able to read the cards and explain them in a way that makes sense to you. She does this by connecting to your energy and the energy of the question.

Most people will benefit greatly from a tarot reading. Tarot is a tool for you to gain more awareness, to recognize patterns in your life, receive a better understanding of yourself and make different choices.
